On Monday, August 21, 2006 at 19:34 hours, Lyons Fire-Rescue, along with Lyons Town Ambulance, was dispatched to a reported two-car motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment, at the intersection of Leach Rd and Forgham St. Engine 6 took the assignment along with Chief Witt and Assistant Chief’s Paliotti & Rios.
Upon Engine 6’s arrival, a two-car motor vehicle accident with injuries was confirmed as well as entrapment in the second vehicle. Captain DiSanto made quick use of the tool to free the victim, who was then turned over to EMS for transport.
The assignment went back into service at 20:01 hours.
LFD was assisted on location by Lyons Town Ambulance, and Lyons Police Department.
