On Friday, April 20, 2007 at 08:08 hours, Lyons Fire Rescue, along with Lyons Town Ambulance was dispatched to a reported 2 car MVA on Route 14 South in the area of the Wayne – Ontario County Line. Engine 6 took the assignment along with Chief Witt and Assistant Chief Darcangelis.
Upon the first Officer’s arrival, an apparent head on collision involving a car and tractor trailer was found. The driver of the sedan was found to be pinned in the vehicle. After an extensive extrication, patient care was turned over to EMS for transport.
LFD was assisted on location by Lyons Town Ambulance, the New York State Police and Mercy Flight Central. The assignment went back into service at 09:28 hours.
