On Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 07:40 hours, Lyons Fire Rescue along with Lyons Town Ambulance, was dispatched to a reported one car motor vehicle accident. Engine 6 took the assignment under the direction of Chief Witt.
Upon Engine 6’s arrival, a single vehicle was found off the road, down a slight enbankment and into a pond. The operator, found sitting in a passer-by’s vehicle, was checked over by EMS personnel.
LFD was assisted on location by Lyons Town Ambulance, and Wayne County Sheriff’s Department. The assignment went back into service at 08:39 hours.
