On Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 08:52 hours, Lyons Fire Rescue, along with Lyons Town Ambulance was dispatched to a reported 2 car MVA at the intersection of Route 14 and Armitage Rd. Engine 6 took the assignment along with Chief Witt and Assistant Chief Paliotti.
Upon Engine 6’s arrival an apparent head on collision involving a car and tractor trailer was found. The driver of the sedan was found to be pinned in the vehicle. After an extensive extrication, patient care was turned over to EMS for transport.
LFD was assisted on location by Lyons Town Ambulance and the New York State Police. The assignment went back into service at 10:04 hours.
