On Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 23:52 hours, Lyons Fire was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 7 High St, with the possibility of people trapped. Engine 7, Truck 1, and Rescue 3 took the assignment under the direction of Chief Witt and Assistant Chief’s Paliotti, Darcangelis and Rios.
The first arriving engine, reported a working fire in a 2 1/2 story, wood frame. Command requested a Second Alarm brining in Newark Fd’s R.I.T. While a primary serch of the residence was in progress, Command was advised of all subjects being accounted for. The fire was declared under control at 00:20 hours bringing in the Wayne County Cause and Origin Team.
LFD was further assisted on location by the Lyons Police Department, Wayne Co Sheriff’s Department and the Lyons Town Ambulance. The assignment was back in-service at 01:42 hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
